About Me
Originally from Boston, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice from Penn State University in 1995. During college, I came across a recruitment bulletin for the California Highway Patrol (CHP), applied, and in 1996 made the cross-country move to attend the CHP Academy.
I spent 28 rewarding years with the CHP, serving in Los Angeles, Truckee, Sacramento, and Auburn. I retired in 2023 as a Sergeant and one of the most senior supervisors in the Department.
While working full-time with CHP, I pursued my legal education and earned my Juris Doctor from Northwestern California University School of Law. I was admitted to the California Bar in 2022 and began practicing part-time at a local estate planning firm. In September 2025, I launched The Law Office of Steven J. Pellegrino, PC focusing exclusively on estate planning.
I’ve called Lincoln home for over two decades, where I live with my wife, a recently retired elementary school teacher. Our two sons are both currently serving in the United States Marine Corps. Outside of work, I enjoy following pro and college football, the NHL, and I still play in an ice hockey league in Roseville. I’m a licensed Extra Class Amateur Radio “Ham” operator, call sign KM6SP.
I look forward to the opportunity to serve you and your family with thoughtful, personalized, estate planning solutions.
